Thank you so much for taking the time to review Financial Finesse on Glassdoor. We are always looking to hear from candidates about their experiences and ways we can improve our recruiting and interviewing process.
While it’s true that only 1-2% of all who apply for the Resident Financial Planner position end up with job offers, that’s a number that represents the entire 8 step interview process – not just the behavioral interview. This is not just a job, or even a career. It is a calling which requires incredible expertise across a full spectrum of financial topics, coupled with a talent for counseling and motivating people of all income levels to improve their finances. Someone can be an excellent planner but still not a perfect fit.
We are also very proud of our diversity in our hiring. Our employees today and in the past have been of quite a variety of backgrounds and life experiences, including many more than 4 of our current employees.
We are not looking for any one type of employee. Our culture is very different than “Corporate America”, where many of our employees worked in prior roles. The culture is flexible, entrepreneurial, and fast paced -- where small teams do tremendous things.
As many of our planners will attest, the things that made them successful in their prior roles may not be as successful here. There is constant evolution and training for planners in order to help the individuals we work with experience financial behavioral change that can help them change their lives in a positive way.
