I began the interview process in October 2024, first with a recruiter. They were great to talk with and provided a lot of info on FDB. It then took a few weeks for the next round, which was with the hiring manager. I was a bit concerned how long it took to move to the next round but chalked it up to the upcoming holidays. The conversation with the hiring manager was not very memorable but I was still excited by the opportunity.
It then took another 3 weeks for the next round, and by this point I was pretty unmotivated to continue the process as I was having to chase down the recruiter for updates. My final rounds with FDB included conversations with a Support leader and a Sales leader. I thought these conversations went well but there were no updates or timelines on when a decision would be made. After another 3 weeks of radio silence after reaching out for updates, I accepted an offer with a different company. For comparison, 4 rounds of interviews with this other company were completed within 2 weeks.
Overall, the process was incredibly slow and I did not feel like my time and preparation were valued. It's disheartening to have to reach out for updates week after week, and it looks like the position still has not been filled as of 1/29/25.
