      Property Administrator Interview

      8 Dec 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Phoenix, AZ
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at FirstKey Homes (Phoenix, AZ) in Sept 2022

      Interview

I applied, interviewed, and was offered the job within the same week. It took a few weeks to actually get started, but that is to be expected. Sunday - applied on Indeed. Monday - phone screen with the recruiter. Super easy and the recruiter was very helpful in scheduling. He genuinely seemed like he wanted me to get the job and join the team. Tuesday - interview with the hiring manager. Pretty routine interview, got to learn more of the position, and make connections with the manager. Hiring manager told me I had been moved forward in the process. Thursday - got a call from the recruiter saying I got the job! Offer letter was received and signed by the end of the day!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They were pretty standard interview questions - how do you handle stressful situations, how do you manage multiple different things at the same time, why are you interested in this position. Nothing too difficult.

      Property Administrator Interview

      22 Dec 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at FirstKey Homes in Dec 2025

      Interview

I initially had a phone interview with the recruiter, which was disorganized. The recruiter appeared unprepared, relied heavily on a script, and was unclear about the location I applied for, needing to confirm details with other team members. The interview was then rescheduled, and I received a Teams meeting link for the follow-up. During the Teams meeting, no one joined. I followed up with the recruiter multiple times via email and text to confirm the link but did not receive a timely response. The next day, I was informed they had been busy and unable to contact me. Another interview was scheduled later that week. This subsequent interview was in-person with three panel members. While the questions were basic, they were not correlated with work and the interview environment felt uneasy. For example, questions like, "How can you handle change in life?" were unclear, and the panel made remarks highlighting inconsistencies within the company, such as frequent policy changes regarding work-from-home flexibility. At the end of the interview, there was a discussion about the previous miscommunication; the panel suggested they were expecting me for an in-person interview, while I explained that the recruiter had sent a Teams link and I had reached out multiple times to confirm. Overall, the process was frustrating and disorganized. Receiving the final news that I was not selected was disappointing, particularly given that the role was entry-level and my skills are highly transferable from my previous experience.
