My experience with this company’s recruiting process was short and surprisingly disappointing. A recruiter reached out to me about a role I hadn’t applied for, and after taking the time to prepare and complete the initial phone screen, I received a generic note saying they were moving forward with other candidates due to a ‘large number of responses.’
When a recruiter proactively sources a candidate, only to immediately cite volume as the reason for passing, it signals a lack of organization and respect for the candidate’s time. In a market as challenging as this one, it’s frustrating to invest energy into a process that the company itself initiated but didn’t follow through on thoughtfully. A more intentional and honest approach to candidate communication is needed.
