I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Flipkart (Bengaluru) in Mar 2021
Interview
I will give a detailed overview of my interview experience with Flipkart.
OVERALL PATHETIC.
The HR scheduled the interviews during holiday. I was okay with it as I was interested in Flipkart. However the interview was scheduled without any consent of the interviewer. I woke up early morning to attend the interview and waited, nobody joined. The same thing happened twice. The HR didnt care to inform that the interview is re-scheduled. I already started feeling as a slave/donkey before joining Flipkart itself as it was their internal decision and internal comfort and no consent was taken from me.
Also the HR doesn't know who is the panelist for the interview and hence has to reschedule the interview again. my interviews got rescheduled 4 times total.
The quality of interview is pathetic. Though I was being interviewed for an analyst role, the HR round was scheduled for 1 hour and the technical rounds were scheduled for 30mins (lol, funny right).
Overall, I gave 4 interviews and almost all of them went well. Still after 10 days the HR didn't bother to reply on my candidature. I had to message and ask her about it. The HR in return responded, I am not aware of the results, my boss will reply to you. Please ask her. Isn't it funny to see that somebody who scheduled all your interview rounds isn't aware of the selection?
Proper waste of time it was. Not applying for Flipkart again.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Flipkart (Bengaluru) in Dec 2021
Interview
There were potentially 6 rounds of interview. I did not get selected after the second round.
First round was a problem solving round, second one was a analytical solutioning round. Interviewers are friendly and encouraging, and liked to understand how I was thinking
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Problem solving round had a math puzzle, a discussion around over a business case(the interviewer was interested in the approach and the questions that I was asking rather than the solution itself).
Analytical solutioning round had discussion around prior work in statistical modelling, some questions related to classification and how to convert one of their business problems to a statistical/DS model
