Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our interview process. We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we sincerely apologise for the lack of communication regarding our decision. At the time, we were working with a recruiter who was responsible for candidate updates. Unfortunately, they did not provide the necessary follow-up, which is why we have since stopped working with them. We take accountability for this and apologise for any frustration this may have caused.
Regarding our case study, we use this as a crucial step in our hiring process to ensure that candidates can demonstrate their skills in a real-world context. Many applicants take credit for work done in a team setting, and the case study helps us assess individual problem-solving abilities, creativity, and UX thinking.
In your specific case, while we appreciate the effort you put into the assignment, the focus of the task was to identify a new feature that could improve our conversion rate and user experience. Your response, however, primarily highlighted a bug in the application. While identifying bugs is important, we were seeking a candidate who could introduce innovative UX ideas to enhance the user journey—rather than a quality assurance approach.
We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration as we refine our hiring process. We wish you all the best in your career journey and hope you find a role that aligns well with your expertise and strengths.
