Interview process wasn't too hard. Some puzzle problems that are a little outdated but a good panel of questions. Received an offer. Reporting supervisor made it clear he over extended the compensation they had budgeted for the role which presented pressure on the position that is not needed. The PTO offer couldn't be rounded up from 12.6 to 13 days. Insider information confirmed they are old school and require you to work 50+ hours.
If this job replaces a hobby for you I'm sure it makes sense.
The interviewing team was great and the culture seemed fine from that perspective. Wasn't a step up from my current role in compensation so it didn't make sense. It didn't feel right to ask for more benefits after negotiating an increase of salary offer. I didn't know the other benefits were lacking since it wasn't a part of the offer until the end.
