I applied online and was offered an interview almost immediately. I received an email 10 minutes after sending my application through online. The email I received was an invitation to participate in an assessment day. The assessment day started off with Sitel's management team talking to us about their company, explaining what they do and what the position we applied with involved which took around 20 minutes, we then completed a computer test with basic computer skill questions, it only took them 5 minutes to get our results and those who didn't pass were asked to leave. After I passed the computer test we had to fill out a job application form. We then had to introduce ourselves and then we were asked to choose an item from the box which they provided with a range of products. I got a permanent marker. After all of that we waited around for abit, I actually enjoyed this part the most. I got to meet a lot of other job seekers. After waiting for awhile patiently, we were then taken 1 by 1 for a quick 10 minute interview, The questions were very basic and were quite quick.
I actually wished they had checked my CV properly before asking me to attend their 3 hour assessment day as it was a waste of my time.
I would have preferred a phone interview first, which would have given them the opportunity to get to know abit about me, my skills and previous experience before inviting me to attend an interview in person.
