I applied through their website and, five days later, received a rejection stating there had been an overwhelming response to the vacancy. What I found particularly unreasonable was the inclusion of a six-month hiring “cool-off” period, despite not having had any interaction beyond submitting an application which means I’m essentially barred from applying to this company for six months.
This approach feels excessive and impersonal. Even a standard rejection would have been more appropriate. Based on this experience, I would advise others to reconsider applying to this company. It would make sense if a candidate progressed through to multiple stages, but having this policy in place for simply applying is unprofessional and makes you wonder if this company will treat its employees well if hired.
