Frazil interview questions

I applied online and got a message from the recruiter within a few days. I was invited to schedule a screening interview. I had a great convo with the recruiter and felt good about things. I was scheduled for an in-person meeting on-site the next morning. It also went well. I was told that I would receive a call the next Monday or Tuesday. Not a word. I do not understand wasting time and resources and then no follow-up. I sent thank you messages but did not send a status request given that I was told they would send one.
