      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Frontier Airlines (Denver, CO) in Dec 2023

      Interview

Honestly it was a fun process. You begin the day by mingling with other interviewees and most are really friendly, so it helps calm your nerves. Then you check in and are brought into a big conference room and are sat at a round table. My group had 8 people and I was expecting 5 or 6 so just be aware of that. Also there were over 200 people there in the a.m time slot. Then a presenter talks about the company and introduces all of the recruiters/fa’s that will be interviewing you. One sits at your table for your group activity. You basically have to list the top 5 most important parts of being a flight (safety first, of course). Here’s where I went wrong, I was trying to let others have a chance to speak and ended up getting walked all over and not being able to get a word in. So even if it’s not in your personality, try to speak up!! But also once you’re able to get a word in, listen to others as well, don’t talk the whole time. Seriously, one girl in my group had great answers but she didn’t listen to others’ opinions & I think that’s why she was sent home. The recruiters want to see that you can be a leader but also a team player. Then, once you warm up to that recruiter, they switch up on you and bring in another recruiter for your group interview. You’re then placed in order from the number on your name tag (lowest first) and that decides the order of when you answer questions. Each person gets 3 different questions, with just over a minute to answer. Try to stay calm here, I think my nerves were what got to me. After this, the presenter comes back to the front & does a 30(ish) minute presentation about the company and then you’re released for a break. After the break, they split you into 2 rooms, one for those who made it to the second round, the others were sent home. (If you’re sent to the smaller room, you didn’t get it). I was sent home after this so I can’t tell you for sure what goes on after, but I think you have a 2:1 with an fa. The experience was great and everyone was warm and welcoming, I just wish I was able to show my personality more and connect with the fa’s but there just wasn’t time for it. I also was thrown off by being asked about a time I broke the rules at work because the first priority in aviation is always safety, so I felt weird sharing a time I didn’t follow the rules. Out of all the STAR questions I prepared, that was one I did not think I would get, so be prepared to be thrown off! I also don’t love the group interview, it definitely made me not confident in my answers & I found myself comparing mine to other group members’. Overall, it was a fun day, I met so many people that made the whole experience worth it.

Name a time you bent the rules at work to solve a problem. Name a time you had an unreasonable customer. What does teamwork mean to you? How do you apply it?
