The Skip Trace supervisor explained the duties of the position. And, then, they discussed the hourly and bonus structures. The hourly range is $9-$14, and it is based of off a three month production average. So, for example, if have a few bad weeks, your hourly will go down. Or, if you decided to take a vacation, your hourly will probably go down.
As for the bonus structure, it's a filled with fluctuating commission. For example, when a skip tracer uses their resources to find a customer, they receive a smaller commission on that locate. However, when a skip tracer finds the customer without using the companies resources, they receive a larger commission on that locate. The are several tiers up to 150 locations. With each of these tiers, the skip tracer gets a larger commission on each locate. However, the company charges more for using its resources with each tier. Basically, this is very much like a contractor situation, where the skip tracer pays for their own resources.
Also, any returned locate will result in the skip tracer losing 150% of the payout. If the skip tracer fails to reach goal, they will lose a portion of the their commission check.
