Immediately after submitting my application I received a call from a GAF hiring specialist. She asked a few questions about my background and why I wanted to work for GAF. Shortly she scheduled me to come in for a interview. Once I got there I checked in with security Another recruiter met with me for the 2nd interview plus. There was a timed math and English both, test were moderate. After the test a woman and a older man walked in to interview me. They asked pretty straightforward questions. I gave the best of my ability and was very engaging. Telling them why I wanted the position and how it would benefit the company. I am in engineering school for manufacturing, I was the perfect candidate. But However during the interview the older male interviewer just shook his head at me as if he couldn't believe a young black woman could actually do the work. My mom is Caucasian I know the difference face expressions. He couldn't even look me in my eyes. Kept his head down the whole time. Not giving me any Respect. I was really crushed because, I knew that I would be great at the job and possibly innovate with the company.
