I submitted an application via their website and heard from the recruiter a few minutes later. She asked me to record answers to five pre-recorded questions via an app. After I submitted them, she contacted me to schedule a video interview and complete an assessment of about 100 behavioral questions online. The person who scheduled the interview didn’t provide any information about the interviewers besides their names - I had to look them up on LinkedIn. The first interviewer asked me one question - “If me and two others needed something by 11am, what would you do?” I wasn’t aware from the job description that the role would be assisting anyone. Through asking him questions (since I led the entire interview), I learned that the job description listed projects that were no longer relevant. He closed out the interview by telling me and the second interviewer to “have fun, kids.” The second interviewer was more professional, called me by my name, and recalled my video “interview.” He took time to discuss the role and asked me a few good questions, however, I was already turned off by the first interviewer and decided that even if an offer was made, I wouldn’t accept it. I was told a few days later that they had moved forward with another candidate.
