I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GE Renewable Energy (Plano, TX) in Aug 2016
Interview
The program coordinator contacted me via email to schedule a time for me to have an interview. My interviewers were in South Carolina and I was in Texas, I had a telepresence interview. I was given approximately a month of lead time to prepare, and I did so by contacting many of the current EEDPs that had been through the interviewing process.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GE Renewable Energy (Greenville, SC) in Jul 2017
Interview
To interview for EEDP you participate in three interviews over the course of half a day. You have a behavioral interview, a technical interview, and a presentation. The behavioral interview involves standard behavioral questions that can be found online. The technical interview is mostly standard questions with some questions related to the wind industry that you will be able to solve based on first principles even without prior wind industry experience. The presentation is a 5min presentation that seeks to answer who you are, a technical project you have worked on, and why you want to be an Edison engineer. Each of these interviews is performed in front of 3 current GE engineers, with the presentation having an audience of 5-6. They will ask you questions to see how well you respond on the spot to technical questions.
