I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at GEICO (New York, NY) in Aug 2016
Interview
First applied online 8/5 and submitted my behavior assessment at the same time. 8/8 was asked to call in and schedule a phone interview. 8/11 completed phone interview and was told I would hear back withing 3 days. An hour after I went online to check submission status and saw I was no long under consideration. Couldn't really tell you what went wrong with the interview, he did ask that if he asked my employer how many days I had come in late in the last 6 months what would they say? I think this is a trap and your employer would not give out these details. I said I had been late twice in 6 months and had used 1 sick day. In retrospect I should have just said my attendance was perfect. Honestly didn't feel too bad about the interview but I was completely unable to establish any kind of positive vibe with the recruiter. I get the feeling they do these interviews non stop back to back and are on complete auto pilot.

Question 1
Why do you want to leave your current employer? From your understanding what do you think the job youre applying for will be like? Will traveling and being away from home be a problem during training? Will 100% on time attendance be a problem? Do you mind getting dirty?
Good experience with this company and interview process. They asked questions pertaining to past job experience and questions regarding the job itself. The recruiter was nice and friendly, as well.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2025
Interview
applied and was asked to do a assessment which was pretty straightforward. Then did a 20 min zoon interview with a recruiter. They explained a little about the job, salary, training and that I would be invited for a 2nd interview with the leadership team. A little strange interview also, they didn't really ask any questions about myself, just asked how many times I've shown up late for work in my past job and why I had a gap in my employment. A few days later I got a automated email that the job had been filled already. Seems just because you are told you made it to the 2nd and final round doesn't mean you will. They seem to hire first come first serve.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Lincoln, NE) in Jul 2025
Interview
I did a zoom interview, which wasn’t the issue. The issue was I felt like there were no questions asked linked directly to the job I was applying for. I’m use to more behavioral based questions and they asked a lot of random filler questions, had me guessing why are they even interviewing me??
