I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (North Hollywood, CA) in Sept 2013
Interview
I received a call from the recruiter a few days after applying online. Had a phone interview (passed that), then a skills test (reading comprehension, spacial identification), then another phone interview with the regional Auto Damage Adjuster recruiter. The next week I had a 1-on-1 interview with the same regional recruiter, who was impressed with my interview. After that, I moved onto the role playing section. In this section, keep your paperwork neat and organized! They'll try to fluster you with phone calls, paperwork and irate customers. Word of advise in this section - NEGOTIATE rates and be FIRM about company policies! I think my negotiation skills were great, since I met with the hiring manager, however, I'm assuming the paperwork was a bit unorganized. I received an email the next day stating I didn't get the job. I was disappointed to say the least. The hiring manager mentioned the next steps were drug tests, background checks, etc. and next thing you know I got rejected. I'm surprised they weren't more lenient since you had 30 minutes to figure EVERYTHING out. I think they should keep in mind this is a TRAINEE position.

Question 1
Tell me of a time where you failed at helping a customer?
Good experience with this company and interview process. They asked questions pertaining to past job experience and questions regarding the job itself. The recruiter was nice and friendly, as well.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2025
Interview
applied and was asked to do a assessment which was pretty straightforward. Then did a 20 min zoon interview with a recruiter. They explained a little about the job, salary, training and that I would be invited for a 2nd interview with the leadership team. A little strange interview also, they didn't really ask any questions about myself, just asked how many times I've shown up late for work in my past job and why I had a gap in my employment. A few days later I got a automated email that the job had been filled already. Seems just because you are told you made it to the 2nd and final round doesn't mean you will. They seem to hire first come first serve.

Interview
I did a zoom interview, which wasn’t the issue. The issue was I felt like there were no questions asked linked directly to the job I was applying for. I’m use to more behavioral based questions and they asked a lot of random filler questions, had me guessing why are they even interviewing me??
