Interview
The hiring at Geico process is pretty straightforward. After applying online on their website and being asked to submit an online assessment with basic behavioral questions, I got an email about 3 days later inviting me to a phone interview. I scheduled the interview for the next day and it was basically a general check-up and running through my resume with some follow up questions.
I was then asked if I could come in personally to take a computer test and an interview with a recruiting representative. As I knew that Geico's trainings are full at some point and in the case of being hired you would have to wait a month or two, I scheduled the test for the following day as early as possible.
The computer test was not too bad, they tell you that it is possibly overwhelming but it is not if you stay concentrated and follow the instructions. After being told that I passed the computer test I got to meet a recruiter who asked me more detailed questions about my background and couple 'Tell me about a situation where...'-questions. Afterwards, I got to do a role play where they gave me information about a ficticious insurance company and different customer profiles which I got to study for 20 minutes. I then got three different customer calls that I had to adequately handle with the given information.
I passed this stage as well and got to sit with an associate in the call center for 2 hours, I was able to listen to calls and ask questions which was very interesting and helpful.
The final stage then consisted of meeting the department's manager and a lady from training which conducted another interview with me. I was then introduced to the hiring manager whom, after another short interview, offered me a position.
There are two rounds. The first round is virtual and they ask about your background and if you can handle the process. For the second-round, You will shadow someone for 20 minutes then proceed for a 40 minute interview. There are a lot of situational questions.

You first fill out an assessment test. The assessment test isn't difficult; there are a few parts to it. First is the reading tables section. It asks you a question about the table and based on that you pick one of the four answers. This part is timed so you want to pace yourself a little bit. The other part is picking the statement that describes you the best, then the second-best statement out of three statements. Overall, this did not take long.
