I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GMHC in May 2019
Interview
The interview was pretty easy- as most nonprofits should do there is a lot of grace when it comes to format/presentation and focus on content. My interviewer and then future boss was very kind and casual throughout the interview- the biggest thing this organization was looking for was a commitment to the org (it's a lot of grueling work in terms of emotional exhaustion but very rewarding, therefore folks leave frequently).

Question 1
Have you ever worked in providing direct service before?
I applied online. I interviewed at GMHC (New York, NY)
Interview
Very informal. It was at the NYU job fair. Just make a connection with them. The interview more about your personality than really about your qualification. Don’t be too nervous the person that interviewed me fell asleepI was asleep before I got there
I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at GMHC (New York, NY) in Mar 2012
Interview
After hiring manager gets a person's resume from HR, it is up to the manager to contact and schedule an interview. Once applicant and manager decides on a time and date, you are asked to come in and meet with them. In my interview, being that the position needed filling immediately, there were five other candidates. It wound up being a group interview where we were all asked specific questions about the position and had a chance to answer without being pressured or rushed. I felt very comfortable and at ease during the process.
