Interview
I went through the interview process with Guru Energy Drink and wanted to share my experience with others.
The hiring process included three interviews: one with HR, one with the hiring manager, and one with the CEO.
Prior to my interview, I had come across a few dated reviews online, but I didn't take them too seriously since there were only a handful. However, as a more recent interview candidate, I can confirm that the issues mentioned in those older reviews are still prevalent. One of the biggest disappointments I encountered during my interactions with the company was the lack of communication. Despite investing several hours in the interviewing process, I was left in the dark after it concluded. I never received any follow-up or feedback, which was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. It's disheartening to invest your time and effort into a company only to be ghosted if you're not selected as the chosen candidate.
Additionally, the team's lack of professionalism in their email correspondence was concerning. The emails I received lacked proper grammar and overall attention to detail. This gave me the impression that the company doesn't prioritize professionalism, which is a red flag for any job seeker.
Furthermore, if you're considering a role with Guru energy drink outside of Montreal, I would advise against it. The company expresses ambitions to grow beyond Quebec, but it seems the current staff has an extremely limited knowledge of what is happening outside the province. This lack of awareness and understanding can lead to inefficient operations and hinder the company's growth in other regions.
In conclusion, based on my personal experience as an interview candidate, I would not recommend Guru energy drink as an employer. The lack of communication, unprofessional email correspondence, and limited knowledge of operations outside of Quebec make it clear that this company may not be the right fit for those seeking a professional and growth-oriented workplace. Proceed with caution when considering Guru as a potential employer.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GURU Organic Energy (Montreal, QC)
Interview
Two in-depth in-person interviews followed by a quick "interview" with the old CEO. Condescending behavior, stopped the interview for a couple minutes to wire some money to someone. The recruiter completely ghosted me afterwards. Wouldn't answer to my messages or emails. Complete clowns. Don't actually boast about calling everyone back you're gonna ghost on me.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GURU Organic Energy (Montreal, QC) in Apr 2018
Interview
I was first approached by HR for this job position, I honestly hadn't heard about this company before.
1) After some exchanges on linkedin, We scheduled a phone interview.
2) An Interview in Person was scheduled with the same HR person. Very friendly and basic questions
3) Another Interview with the HR person again and the manager
4) I had to come in person again to take 1hour test with some very specific questions not related to the job position itself
5) I never got any news from them..
I had to write and just got an automated email stating that my application was rejected!
I couldn't believe it?! they came to me first, we had several interviews in person and they were not able to pick up the phone and let me know that I haven't been selected and saying why.. It shows how they treat people, awful HR management and people management. Of course I wrote back asking for an explanation but never got any news from them.
