Met the CEO, COO, during a conference a year prior. Interviewed in person with the CMO, and later by phone with the CEO but ultimately the CEO made all hiring decisions. I was made an offer and there was no negotiating. His MO was to make low offers to people, inflate the bonus %, but then reduce the % when it came time to pay out bonuses. He of course always received 100% of his bonus.
