I applied through university. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Garmin (Olathe, KS) in Oct 2014
Interview
First talked to an HR person, mostly about my previous technical experience/projects from school, work, or internships. I was invited to an on-site interview where two hiring managers conducted the interview. The interview was mostly (95%) technical. It consisted of about 45 minutes of problem solving (like in a test). The problems were mostly circuits and electronics based (know your op-amps and filters). They wanted to make sure I know my basics and the way I think and solve problems. After the "test" there was some time for me to ask questions.
The phone screen was pretty chill. They asked a lot about my resume and past work/internship experiences. It was mostly very behavioral, only a few questions were asked about basic technical understanding.

They are elitists and will not consider average students yet complain about work ethic ironic I think not but best of luck. There salary also isn't as competitive as they would like to think overall a big no from me
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Garmin (Olathe, KS) in Sept 2021
Interview
There are three interviews and the process should take about one to two months. The first interview is to determine if you are eligible and would be a good candidate. The second one is to test your technical knowledge. The third one is to determine if you are a good fit.
