I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Gates Foundation in Jun 2020
Interview
This was a long recruitment process, 4 steps that took about 6 months to complete. First with the recruiter, then hiring manager, then group interviews across the offices. Each interaction was professional, and I felt each person was keen to learn more about me and how I could fit in with the organization and team.

How would you improve reputation management for the Foundation
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gates Foundation (Washington, DC) in Sept 2025
Interview
This was a 30-minute screening interview with a recruiter. While I ultimately didn't advance in the process, I was impressed with how this interview thoroughly covered specifics about the position (salary, why role was open, how it fit into the larger organization) in order to ensure alignment. The recruiter started the conversation by going through these details, before moving on to 3-4 questions about my work experience and what attracted me to apply for the position. I was fortunate to earn an internal referral and feel grateful to even have been invited for a first round interview, as I know the hiring process is competitive and the foundation is one of the premier philanthropic organizations in the world.
I applied through other source. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Gates Foundation (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2015
Interview
I was screened by HR on the phone and then had a phone interview with the hiring manager. After that interview I didn't hear back for months, until they hired someone else.
