General background questions. Relevant recent experience. What key things attracted me to the position. Experience of working in the Education sector. Tour of the school. Discussions around particular issues they are facing.
After 1st stage interview was required to complete a lengthy formal application form. Was then invited to 2nd stage interview. This interview was subsequently delayed to staff contracting covid. Further postponed due to proximity to Christmas break. Continually chased in the new Year, but four months after my initial interview was unable to obtain any answer to: Has the role been filled, withdrawn or still open. From either the school directly or via the recruitment agent. Very poor communication!

Pros Most staff are lovely and welcoming with the exception of a few who ruin the overall culture Pupils are well behaved Grounds of school beautiful Cons Expect low pay If your face fits expect a pay increase if not expect to be overworked for very little High staff turnover due to unfair treatment by members of management Unprofessional internal operation Teachers are overworked with very little time for family life Learning support are undervalued Mean girl environment Lack of professional development and opportunities
