Very rigorous. Start with aptitude test then next step is group simulation to test thinking on actual ongoing projects. The final interview is more like what you will get in consulting, a case study and of course the general interview
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
To assess between different business opportunities and identify where I'll invest and why
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Gatsby (UK) (Nairobi) in Oct 2022
Interview
The process typically begins with an initial screening call conducted by a recruiter to assess general fit for the role. Successful candidates are then invited to participate in an assessment centre, where they complete a series of exercises alongside other candidates. These activities are designed to evaluate collaboration, communication, and how individuals contribute in a group setting.
Following the assessment centre, candidates may be required to complete a case study or written assignment to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
The final stage usually involves a panel interview with potential line managers and other team members, focusing on experience, role fit, and overall alignment with the organization.
I first submitted the application. Then there was the computer test: literacy and numeracy. Then a group interview of about 4 people with 4 interviewers. It was mostly games that tested things like entrepreneurial skills and decision-making. Then an individual interview with 3 people (including HR). After that we could chat with some of the employees. Process that took long was between submitting the form and getting to the screening test. That took about 4 months. Then the rest until the offer was about like 1.5 months.
