I had received a phone screen a few weeks after applying. After that, I was ghosted for almost 2 months, then received the take-home assessment. I submitted the take-home assessment, and I received an email to schedule the next interview. Then I received another email that I was actually rejected. Very unprofessional and downright stupid.
I applied online. I interviewed at Gelber Group in Mar 2025
Interview
Very easy process. Just a quick call with someone from HR and then a round where I spoke with everyone on the very small team that they had me interviewing for. That round, I just talked about my resume and interests and projects that I'd worked on.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Gelber Group
Interview
Had a few phone calls with some of the traders. They were all super nice guys. Everything was decent until my final on-site interview where I met Brian Gelber, the ceo, and he asked me a myriad of inappropriate questions. He said “So you’re a woman!? I don’t get a lot of women who apply here.” Then he proceeds to ask me questions like “do you prefer reading books by men or women more? I can usually tell when a book is written by a woman” then he asked me if my parents are still alive, and if they are, what do they do for a living. My dad died when I was young so I got upset. He’s a piece of work, awful person. Very negative look for the company image.
