I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Genentech in Jun 2019
Interview
I applied for the position online. Couple of months later, recruiter approached me and asked for interview. The first round was mostly introductory. She asked me talk to some team members that were located at UK and Switzerland. I had to wake up in 5 am in order to talk to them but it was ok. I talked to 4 people and in my opinion everything went well. Two weeks later recruiter called and said three out four liked you very much including the direct manager and just one of them expressed some doubts about my background. Recruiter said it looks interviewer googled you and your current company and since it was a small company, she had some doubt about my seniority.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Genentech (South San Francisco, CA)
Interview
It took about a month to receive a call from a recruiter and 4 weeks for the interview process. I had one initial screening interview and a technical interview with Genentech. The interviewers and the recruiters were very friendly.

Question 1
Describe a situation that you successfully help the executives make a decision by using your machine learning or data science projects.
Presentation followed by 5 hour panel interview. Extensive, not very much accommodation for schedule. Also have you go through full relocation webinar which is a waste of time if you haven't gotten the job yet
