I went through 3 rounds of interviews. The first was a fairly standard phone call with the recruiter (why are you applying, what’s your experience, etc.). Moved on to an audio interview with the engineering team, where they asked more on my experiences and tested me a bit more technically. Then I had to wait over a month just for them to schedule the on-site interview. Apparently half their HR department quit. At the on-site interview, the team grilled me pretty thoroughly. I was a bit taken aback, as one engineer just decided to show up on his own and put me through a rigorous interview (was unfriendly and it seemed unnecessary in my opinion). Afterwards, I had to wait over another month, and email 3 different recruiters just to get a one sentence rejection email.
