I applied through university. I interviewed at Giant Food (Hyattstown, MD) in Mar 2020
Interview
It was an extensive interview that was very hard and over done. I personally would not recommend this to any student looking for an internship. There are many equal opportunities that have better interview processes.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1

Interview
Panel interviews over the course of an entire work day…for an internship at Giant. There were all applicants present and a handful were selected. The rest had to spend an entire 8 hours on a school weekday to interview only to be not hired and never reached out to.

Interview
A full day of presentations from the company and informational excercises along with 3 back to back interviews with multiple interviewers in each interview. Each interview has multiple interviewees and interviewers (4 of each). For a company to do something like this for many applicants, it is simply a waste of time. It goes from 8 am-4pm and takes an entire day. This is way too extensive for this company to be having. I have also been told by previous interns they do not offer full time positions after the internships.
