I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gilead Sciences (Foster City, CA) in Dec 2010
Interview
pretty straight forward- phone screen and then two onsite interviews consisting of 4 interview sessions each. I heard that the process could take pretty long but I didn't experience that. Overall it was not an arduous process and they indicate their interest pretty quickly. They have pretty nice offices but culture can be intense. People are smart but not adept at change. They are getting better though.
Normal interview process of qualitative and technical interviews. HR conveys positivity but ghosts candidates despite going through final round super days (commits themselves to following up and then never does and also does not respond to follow up inquiries).

Question 1
We'll provide you an update next week (but never does).
The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Gilead Sciences (Foster City, CA)
Interview
A recruiter reached out and initial conversation was via Zoom. The next round with the hiring managers was also conducted via Zoom. The final round was a panel interview, mix of onsite and Zoom with the hiring managers and other folks on the team as well as stakeholders from cross functional teams. All interviewers were pleasant, engaged, and knowledgeable. Although the process was a little bit long due to scheduling conflicts, the recruiters and recruiting coordinators were always quick to respond and highly engaged. It was a very positive experience all around.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Gilead Sciences
Interview
2 stages, 2nd stage repeat of 1st stage and provided no benefit, long wait between interviews. at the offer stage they wanted to get commitment before officailly confirming which was very unprofessional. They appeared to be very inflexible and gave a bad first impression. Tried to tell me that I would be blacklisted if I didnt accept.
