I initially got in touch with one of the senior developers at the company and passed on my details which then led to a in-person interview with the management and engineering team. This interview was casual and I was asked about previous experience and the project I was currently working on at my other job. This then led to me getting the opportunity to work part time (1-2 days per week) at the company for a while, which could then potentially lead to a full-time role down the track. After working at the company for a couple of months part-time I was offered the chance to go through their standard technical hiring process in order to apply for the full-time role as a developer for the company. This process consisted out of a take-home programming challenge, a technical interview and a final interview with the CEO's of the company.
