      Senior UI Designer Interview

      14 Jul 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Longmont, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Gloo (Longmont, CO) in May 2016

      Interview

I had two interviews with the recruiting firm that they use to get their candidates. After that they thought I was a really good fit. I had one onsite interview with Gloo. I think my skills were a little senior for them based on feedback from the hiring manager a week later. Then like the other reviews I had 3 weeks of silence where I wasn't given a "no" or offer. I sent two follow up emails and no response so I assumed it was a no and started looking elsewhere. It was too bad because the toolset and even the UX process was exactly what I worked with before and I thought I would be the perfect fit. I eventually moved on and was given another offer from a different company and that's when I received an email again from the recruiter that said Gloo was still interested if I was available. I held on signing an offer for a few days because I really thought it was the right fit for me and said that if they really wanted me they can schedule the 2nd onsite interview but it has to be in the next few days. Eventually the interview was scheduled for two days later and I was interviewed by the other two designers who were unprepared or knew they were going to interview anyone. Given their questions, the comments and what has been released. The design team was mediocre at best. I pushed for a decision soon after that interview and finally got a no after another day. They said they were going with a different candidate but I doubt they had a need or another lined up. They just didn't want to make a decision that quick but overall process took more than 6 weeks from application to a decision. If you're in need of a job don't expect this to be a fast process. If u currently have a job and want to entertain this process be my guest. But this will be the 3rd review that sounds very similar. Overall easy interview.
