      Project Manager Interview

      1 Sept 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Goldencomm

      Interview

I've waited quite some time to leave this review because to be frank I wasn't sure what to make of my experience, but I think I'm ready. This is a few years old at this point so please bear with me. This place gave off very weird vibes when I interviewed. They have a "library" with multiple shelves dedicated to a single book the CEO loves; it's been awhile but I believe the book was "Good to Great" by Jim Collins. It was emphasized that you are expected to read this book if you join the team. Additionally the part of my interview experience that stuck out to me most was sitting down with a few high level employees and listening to them talk about what "was wrong" with someone who interviewed a few weeks ago and was still following up for feedback. They mused over why he hadn't been able to find a job yet and it really unsettled me. They also sent me a really long "test" after my interview, which I'm guessing I failed to pass since they ghosted me after that. I was honestly a little relieved at the time. What's funny is that I told this story to a coworker a few years ago and they were able to name the company because they had also interviewed here and had the same experience as me. Hopefully it's improved since then.

      Project Manager Interview

      31 Aug 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Goldencomm (New York, NY)

      Interview

Initial "culture" interview where you met the CEO. He's very nice and down to earth. Then you take a quiz that they use for the next interview. They say the results don't matter, they just want to know your thought process for answering the way you did. During the next interview I felt like I was getting interrogated about everything I didn't know... they made me feel kind of dumb for not knowing EVERYTHING on that very extensive quiz. That set me up for not having confidence for the rest of the interview. Very stressful process.
