Rather extensive process consisting of the HR gatekeeper call, call with the hiring manager, call with the VP, call with the director, a take home assignment, then another review call with the hiring manager. Company is cordial and process was easy.
While things rang smoothly, six calls featuring the same run-of-the-mill questions gives off the impression that the team is not very organized and has time to burn. Regarding the position itself, it seems like the team is very confused with what the type of person they actually want. Throughout the interview process, very few people could concretely answer key questions about the role directly related to the company's efforts.
The take home assignment stage actually means there are no right answers, only wrong ones. On the last recorded call, the hiring manager was very removed but got very caught up in why I couldn't guess + match Gong's style of corporate messaging rather than anything related to the prompt or the deeper marketing solutions designed.
