I applied online. I interviewed at Goodwill (New York, NY) in Sept 2020
Interview
It was really laid back and the first time I was actually comfortable speaking with the interviewer. She made me feel really comfortable and the conversation flowed so easily. She asked me about my personal life which I really enjoyed and didn't mind at all. She made it very clear at the end that I was hired.
It was very quick and easy. It was on site and very low pressure. They made it feel very comfortable. The interview lady was very nice. I ultimately turned down the job, but I did remember the process and how pleasant it was.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
To describe a time where I had to deal with difficult employee
simple, barely any questions. they didn’t ask much, first time worker and they still hired me sooo but that was 2021. It wasn’t awful but not very structured. could’ve been worse
Called me on the phone and set an in-person interview. Asked a few questions in their office, with just one manager. Interview probably lasted 30 minutes, with basic questions about my cashiering experience, why I was looking for a job, etc.
