Initial phone screening and then in person interview. Interview asked questions of my experiences. Also informed me of the challenges of the job. Thought interview went well and was told a few days to know whether I would be hired or not. Simply ghksted instead.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Goodwill (WA) (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2023

🤯😱My hiring experience was so bizarre that I had friends in HR telling me to RUN! But I loved the mission and the HR woman. I had FIVE interviews over the course of a month for a non-leadership position. It was harder than becoming Speaker of the House! Then, for 3 weeks in a row (after an already significant waiting period) I was promised a decision every Wednesday while they continued to discuss and work some things out internally. I finally got an offer letter. I countered with a very moderate, industry-appropriate ask of a 3% salary increase (in the form of housing assistance during the probation period, as this job required a move to another state, with no relocation benefits). They retracted their offer, stating I was no longer in alignment with them. Wow. I hope, for the good of their clients, they sort themselves out. Meanwhile, clearly I have dodged a bullet in a dysfunctional organization.
