I applied through university. I interviewed at GreenSlate (New York, NY) in Aug 2017
Interview
It started off ok. I was introduced through a mutual acquaintance.
I had a phone interview with the lead developer, following which they invited me for an on-site interview.
The on-site was fairly casual, the lead developer and the CTO, there was some white-boarding, they asked me to explain some programming concepts. The atmosphere was fairly relaxed.
After that I didn't hear nothing. I followed up by email a few times but got zero response.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Implement a JavaScript function to find the highest odd integer in an array of integers.
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GreenSlate (New York, NY)
Interview
This place is a joke. Don't do their coding project, they will waste your time. Made it to the final interview after completing 1 coding challenge,1 project and one interview. This company does not want you nor will they give you an opportunity. Please look elsewhere!
I applied online. I interviewed at GreenSlate (New York, NY) in Sept 2017
Interview
Applied online. Got a phone interview 3 days later, followed by a personal interview.
Frankly it was easy with two managers + HR. The whole interview lasted about 1:30 min. Easy & simple
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GreenSlate (New York, NY) in Sept 2017
Interview
Has an in-person interview with the CTO and lead software engineer. It didn't really feel like an interview for an engineer.
Was asked 2 very basic algorithms and that was it for the technical skills.
The interview derailed with the CTO and lead engineer talking amongst themselves.
Was told that I would be hearing back within a week or so. Got no response, even after I reached out and inquired about the current status.
Very unprofessional.
