two interviews - one on phone, one in person.
Was referred to the job by a personal reference so did not have to apply through HR. However, when I was hired, I became the hiring manager. The process was submitting an application on line and it was forwarded to me for review. If I liked the candidate, I would have my assistant call and do a screening interview. If they liked them, I would schedule an in person interview. I asked situational questions to assess critical thinking and skill set.
