      Sales Lead/Key Holder Interview

      16 Sept 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Pittsburgh, PA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Guitar Center (Pittsburgh, PA) in Oct 2015

      Interview

After a high performance in sales for 2 years, I was offered a promotion. I had worked for GC from 2005-2008, then rehired in 2013. I love my job. I feel that positive energy is key to achieving success in any career. I have a BA in Business Management and Marketing, but it was not a requirement to be qualified for the position. I did gain insight from my degree in my job title, and my job title aided my understanding of business while working at GC. They both benefited each other. Guitar Center is a company that promotes from within and builds its employees up. I recieved an offer letter which I then signed. After the offer was accepted, I then submitted an acceptance letter. Shortly after being promoted I had a conversation with my District Manager which was very supportive and motivating. Having the right leaders in your life is key to happiness at Guitar Center. Good leaders push you to become the best version of yourself.
