3 rounds of interviews, focused on STAR method and values.
Interview process was fine but the Invite/ recruiting team left a bad taste.
Recruiter was inept at communication/would not answer questions or follow up in a timely manner and had a huge ego as if they were the end all be all. They only replied when THEY chose to or when it was convenient for them, and misled about deadlines to hear back. They were not transparent about the interview process and took ghosting to a whole other level and diminished the candidate experience. Its nice to have pretty Canva's prep materials throughout, but the lack of communication and decorum was egregious.
Also, for a company that prides themselves on feedback, why do they send a post interview survey to collect feedback but then say its against policy to provide feedback to candidates? Seems hypocritical.
Key takeaway from all of this is to lead with grace and empathy and strive to create a much more transparent and welcoming candidate experience; you do it for your customers, so why not keep that same energy for potential hires.
