I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at H E B in Aug 2011
Interview
Applied online and got a call about a week later for an interview. I showed up about 15-20 minutes before the interview started on a Thursday. I ended up sitting in the upstairs office with about 15 other people who were also interviewing for various positions. My first interview was with the department manager. She asked me various questions, then asked me to identify some things from a book of pictures. I was green-lighted for a second interview that would be taking place that very same day.
After waiting about 30-45 minutes, I went into the second interview with the store manager. I was hired on the spot and would continue to paperwork once a background check was performed. Heard back the following Monday and was asked to show up the next day to fill out paperwork and have my orientation. Both interviews took about a total of 45 minutes-1 hour added together and were pretty easy.

Interview
The process is simple enough, its mostly a lot of STAR based questions. And the digital interview is basically the same as the in person. The questions most of the time will be identical, if not extremely similar.

Question 1
Describe a time you were tasked to work with a team
I interviewed at a grocery store where the manager asked about my customer service skills and availability. The atmosphere was friendly, and I felt confident discussing my past teamwork experience.

Question 1
Name a time I had to mitigate an issue with a co worker.
It was easy and straightforward. I received a call back days later and went in for an interview. The manager was very engaged and felt like a conversation. I was called a week later to being my onboarding process.
