Really easy, got a response extremely quick. The style was rather informal, more of a get to know each other type of call as opposed to the typical interview questions and processes
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at H&H in Jan 2024
Interview
Asked the general interview questions. Made the whole process smooth and felt very conversational. Both interviewers cared about the work I’ve done prior, and was interested in a growth mindset. Didn’t feel like they were quizzing me, but looking for someone with willingness to learn.

Question 1
What was a time where you had to practice leadership.
I applied online. I interviewed at H&H (New York, NY) in Feb 2026
Interview
The interview process was one of the least transparent and least respectful I’ve experienced. I was fast‑tracked straight to an in‑person interview, had a long conversation with the hiring manager, and was asked to send follow‑up questions ... all signals that I was being seriously considered. After that, communication simply stopped. No update, no closure, no acknowledgment, nothing.
For a firm that emphasizes culture and professionalism, the lack of basic follow‑through was disappointing. If this is how they handle candidates they actively recruit and accelerate, it raises concerns about how internal communication and leadership alignment function day‑to‑day.
This specific role has been open for about a year, and the hiring manager mentioned she “just can’t find the right fit,” which at this point makes it feel like they’re searching for a unicorn rather than a real candidate.
Unless you happen to possess the ability to magically become the “perfect fit” they’ve been chasing for twelve months, be prepared to invest time and effort only to be ghosted.
After 8 weeks of being ignored by HR with no update or closure, I ultimately emailed them myself to formally withdraw from the process.

Question 1
She referred to the team as having “unique personalities” and asked how I deal with that dynamic.
Thank you for sharing this. What you describe is not the experience we expect candidates to have, especially when they’ve invested time in the process.
We fell short on communication and follow-through here. We’re continuing to improve how we manage and communicate throughout the hiring process to ensure candidates receive timely updates and closure.
We appreciate the feedback and wish you the best in your search. (SB)
