I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at H&R Block (Milwaukee, WI) in Feb 2011
Interview
The interview process was very inormal. I was close friends with many of the people who worked there. The normal questions were asked, and it wasvery informal. I was interviewing for one of the tax offices, and ended up with another type of job. The district manager offered me an assistant role. I accepted the offer and ended up being great friends with her.
It was very easy and the interviewer was very friendly and encouraging. Even when I didn’t exactly answer a question well they gave me some feedback on what to do when the situation actually happened.
Pretty basic, two people interview you, ask you to explain your resume and the typical questions of what you would do in xy situation. Pretty easy, not too much pressure.
Interview is usually a single virtual interview with one of two managers. The interview is about 20-30 minutes long. First it starts with simple basic questions, then moves to longer situational questions, and then ended with logistical questions like availability, pay, etc.
