Applied online, was contacted by a recruiter and asked to schedule a call. Scheduled call using online scheduling system, received all the automated reminders, etc. I dialed in at the appointment time and waited for 10 minutes before the recruiter joined the call.
When the recruiter did join, the first thing they said was, "I'll admit, I haven't looked at your resume..." and asked that I wait while they pull it up. As they were pulling it up, the recruiter said there was difficulty accessing it, and said I could either send it then or send it after the screening... I sent it then. The recruiter then fumbled back and forth between my present job and a job I held nearly 10 years ago, asking basic questions like "Describe a typical day"--from the job I held 10 years ago-- and "What's your proudest accomplishment" from my current role.
It was disjointed, awkward, and clear that I wasn't being considered as a candidate for the role. Terrible waste of time and unnecessarily flustering.
