This interview process was a bit time-consuming, but I appreciated it because it helped me get to know the unit better before committing. I first interviewed with the unit director as well as the nurse manager or assistant nurse manager not entirely sure, but they were both helpful and welcoming. They answered all of my questions and asked me reasonable questions, knowing that I'm a new nurse. Next, I shadowed a nurse on the unit for 20-30 minutes and this to me was great. It gave me a chance to speak to a nurse working the same job I would be working and there wasn't a manager around so I could ask simple things like how long have you worked here, do you enjoy it, etc etc. Finally, I had to run to a different campus to interview with HR as well as one of the CNOs. This part only took maybe 15 minutes total, most of them wont have you going to a different campus it just happens that the position I would be doing is on a different campus than the main hospital they are apart of.
