I applied on one of the Lead .Net Developer job for HCL Software in Oct 2023 and went for 2 rounds of interviews: Round 1: Online test with 8 coding questions. Attempted 6 and was selected for next round. All c# questions of medium/hard level. Round 2: Very disappointed with round 2. From a 9 years experienced person interviewer started with one similar coding program as it was in online test on c#. Asked to write the program on notepad like editor without using any inbuilt function where i wrote the program and explained the logic but there were 2-3 minor syntax errors as it was on notepad. After this program interviewer finished the interview without asking any further questions. There are plenty of things to ask from experienced person to judge the skillset, just one question can’t be a crieteria. So overall it was just time wastage and like a joke i would say.
