Honestly, it was the most laughable hiring process I have ever seen from a company in my entire life.
For starters, the phone interview screening was poorly executed. I get a phone call from a non-area number which I ignore because I think it's spam. They THEN e-mail me later stating that they tried contacting me to no avail. I request that they call me tomorrow instead, but they had other plans. They call me back that evening, even though I wasn't really in a position to take a phone call, but that's ok.
First call? I immediately get put on hold for around 15 minutes. Then the phone-line ends. I try calling back in 30 minutes to give them time, no response.
They then call me back about an hour later. They had thought I was interviewing for a location HOURS away from the actual place I was applying for, which is great, because even their own e-mail they were referring to the location near my house. But after that was sorted out, I was told on the phone to schedule an interview at another location, and request that they e-mail me if something were to change.
We discuss times and dates, and we pick one. I ask the person twice, TWICE, if this is the correct time, they confirm, everything's great, phone call over.
And surprise, they weren't expecting me! At this point I just wanted to cut my losses and leave, because of how disorganized everything was. Not surprisingly, I get an e-mail back claiming I was never scheduled and they are no longer interested.
Honestly though? It seems like a nice enough company. The pay was absurdly bad and non-negotiable. However, it was a beautiful office, extremely friendly people, just the best-worst interviewing process of my life. Great people, horrific execution and organization.
At the very least, I have an interesting story to tell people!
