The interview process was unnecessarily long and unorganized. The Ecommerce Manager role was fairly new to the company and the department. The job duties were not as straight-forward as they could have been. It seemed more like a combination role to fill gaps across online merchandising, e-commerce management, digital marketing, product management, and project management. There were 8 interviews for this role and half of those interviewing me were not clear what this role would entail. Additional interviews were added on during the process and a few interviewees were late and no-shows for various scheduling reasons. This role was marketed as remote but upon interviewing with the hiring manager, I discovered that we'd be meeting in person and traveling to headquarters more than what was initially discussed. Last but not least, we discussed salary to sit at $115k during the initial screening but upon receiving the job offer, it was maxed at $100k.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HNI (Atlanta, GA) in Nov 2023
Interview
3 interviews, week in between each one, very corporate and typical for a company of this size. First a phone screen with an internal recruiter, next an interview with the hiring manager, lastly a group interview with team members.
