HR² Research/Analytics interview questions

I spoke with their HR person on two occasions. One was a phone interview, was simple enough. The second was an in person interview with a skill assessment in which I was supposed to meet the owner. During the skill assessment - their data sets in SPSS were formatted worse than those of undergraduate researchers in their first year. Once I completed the assessment to what I believed would be the best tests to conduct, the owner attempted to nitpick by claiming I should have performed a bunch of t-tests as opposed to an Analysis of Variance, which is a red flag for anyone who knows how p-hacking works. After the assessment - not only did I never speak to the owner, they asked I start the next day as they were in desperate need of a research analyst. When asked about pay (the average salary for this position in Bellevue is ~$62k/year. They offered me $15/hour. The minimum wage. They attempted to make this less of an issue with claims of "Your pay can increase in a few short months with excellent performance!". Why do a skill assessment unless you want to know my skills and performance?

The interviewer seemed nice. He discussed projects and opportunities within the company. Most of these turned out to be lies. There isn't opportunity for Research Assistants to do much besides call. You won't work the promised hours. If you have IT skills, they will not be used.
