Interview
Went in for an interview they had a person who the interviewer would be supporting in the interview. Was very easy going didn’t feel like I was being bombarded felt more like a chat very welcoming.
I applied online. I interviewed at HWNS (Newcastle) in May 2020
Interview
Very poor. I arrived early but was kept waiting up to 30mins without any acknowledgement from anyone when I walked into the building. Also they have changed their name to Aruma. I was interviewed and the interviewer kept interrupting me and would advise I would get a call in the next 5 days. I never received a call only a rejection email 4 weeks later which is very poor customer service.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HWNS (Sydney) in Oct 2019
Interview
Phone screen, telephone interview, questions were then provided to be answered in writing prior to a face to face interview.
A face to face panel interview with the Head of talent / HR then took place. This process felt unfriendly, impersonal, rushed, and robotic. There was no acknowledgment around the answers already provided in the document that had been submitted.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Competency-Based Questions the interviewer read off a screen in a robotic fashion. Was asked to provide examples of scenarios around stakeholder management, recruitment strategies, recruitment technology, out of box thinking, time and project management, and decision making. Felt cold and impersonal and left the interview feeling like this was not a place I was interested in working, nor a manager I wanted to work for. Got a sense there would be little support and expectations would be extreme.
